The 30cm Lodge Cast Iron Skillet is the pan you’ll reach for every day, from weeknight stir-fries to weekend steaks. It’s big enough to handle the largest T-bone or a family-sized frittata, yet compact enough for a standard NZ oven and most BBQs.

Using your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase (for more information on seasoning, click here).
  • Cook over any heat source, including induction.
  • Heat gradually and evenly. Avoid heating cast iron too quickly or applying extremely high heat to a concentrated area, as sudden or uneven temperature changes can cause cast iron to warp.
  • When cooking on a stovetop, use a heat source that is appropriately sized for your cookware to help promote even heating.
  • Oven safe.
  • Durable cast iron can handle any type of utensil - even metal. 

To care for your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Hand wash and dry immediately—even before first use.
  • Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
  • How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”. Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.
  • It's okay to use a little soap when needed, just make sure you dry thoroughly and apply a little oil afterwards.
