Smokey Bear is an American icon. Since 1944, the friendly bear in a ranger’s hat has reminded generations to take care with fire outdoors, with his famous message, “Only you can prevent wildfires.”

Now, this beloved piece of American history is cast in Lodge cast iron. Made in the USA from durable cast iron, this 26cm skillet is a true all-rounder for breakfast spreads, whole roast chicken, multiple steaks for guests, potato rosti, pasta night for 3-4, or Taco Tuesday for the crew.

Pre‑seasoned and ready to cook, it delivers reliable heat retention, even browning, and a naturally easy‑release surface that gets better over time.

Key Benefits

  • 26cm cooking surface – ideal for 2 large steaks, large frittatas, and 3-4 people family‑style dishes.
  • Excellent heat retention for crisp edges and even browning on small portions.
  • Pre‑seasoned with 100% vegetable oil at the Lodge foundry for a natural, easy‑release finish.
  • Works on all common heat sources including gas, induction, electric, oven, grill, and campfire.
  • Traditionally styled with a sturdy integral oven proof handle and pourer channel each side of the rim.
  • Made in the USA from durable cast iron, designed to last for generations with simple care.

Made in USA.

Using your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase (for more information on seasoning, click here).
  • Cook over any heat source, including induction.
  • Heat gradually and evenly. Avoid heating cast iron too quickly or applying extremely high heat to a concentrated area, as sudden or uneven temperature changes can cause cast iron to warp.
  • When cooking on a stovetop, use a heat source that is appropriately sized for your cookware to help promote even heating.
  • Oven safe.
  • Durable cast iron can handle any type of utensil - even metal.

To care for your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Hand wash and dry immediately—even before first use.
  • Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
  • How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”. Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.
  • It's okay to use a little soap when needed, just make sure you dry thoroughly and apply a little oil afterwards.
