Using your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase (for more information on seasoning, click here).
  • Cook over any heat source (including induction).
  • Oven safe.
  • Durable cast iron can handle any type of utensil - even metal. 

To care for your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Hand wash and dry immediately—even before first use.
  • Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
  • How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”. Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.
  • It's okay to use a little soap when needed, just make sure you dry thoroughly and apply a little oil afterwards.

I would love to buy another one and a lid…..have you got these items in stock?

Thanks Mike. We have plenty of the miniature skillets in stock, but we don't have lids for them unfortunately. The smallest lid we have fits the 20cm skillet.

Too small to do anything with.

This skillet is the miniature version of the original Lodge Cast Iron skillet, and is a perfect size for those smaller cooking duties such as baking an individual pie in the oven or presenting appetisers or tapas. It's also suitable for frying one egg or baking a brownie. Dimensions for every skillet are available under the specifications tab of every Lodge Cast Iron product.
