Using your enameled Dutch oven:
- An enameled Dutch oven is one of the most veratile cooking tools you can own!
- Use it on the stove (including induction), and in the oven up to 260˚ celsius.
- To start, choose a burner closest to the size of your Dutch oven and preheat with a little oil before adding food.
- Sauté, sear, fry, bake, grill and stir fry to your heart’s content.
- Unlike regular cast iron, the durable enameled surface can handle acid and alkaline ingredients such as tomatoes, wines, and citrus ingredients.
- Stick to a low to medium heat for best results.
To care for your enameled Dutch oven:
• Enameled cast iron can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water.
• Allow your Dutch oven to cool, then use a gentle dish soap and scrub brush or pan scraper to remove stubborn food.
• For stubborn residue, soak the Dutch oven for 15-30 minutes before handwashing.
• Avoid citrus-based cleaners, including dishwashing detergents, as they can dull the exterior gloss of the product.
• Make sure the Dutch oven is completely dry before storing in a cool, dry spot.
