  • Oven safe.
  • Durable cast iron can handle any type of utensil - even metal.

To care for your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Hand wash and dry immediately—even before first use.
  • Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
  • How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”. Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.
  • It's okay to use a little soap when needed, just make sure you dry thoroughly and apply a little oil afterwards.

Sadly I was unimpressed,I have a number of Le Creuset Cast Iron pots and pans and I wanted to test local. It was rusting within a few weeks. I know how to care for cast ironware, and maybe it just requires much more 'care', but I was not impressed at all, sorry, just the truth.

Thanks for the feedback. Your cast iron may have rusted as it has not been properly seasoned after use. Don't worry - it's easy to fix. Check out the video showing how to re-season your cast iron at https://lodgecastiron.co.nz/blogs/use-care/how-to-restore-your-lodge-cast-iron.
