Created by Artist Lourdes Villagómez in honour of Day of the Dead traditions across Mexico and the world. The monarch butterflies in the design represent the souls of friends and family members who have returned home for this special earthly celebration, a powerful reminder of transformation and rebirth.

Lourdes is a contemporary artist known for her bright use of colour, bold acrylic paintings, and beautifully decorated skulls. She has shown her work in New York, Italy, and across Mexico City and was highlighted as one of Mexico’s most promising new artists in 2016.

A kitchen’s most essential item, this skillet is the perfect size for everyday cooking on the stovetop or in the oven.

Pre-seasoned and ready to use Lodge Cast Iron skillets are manufactured under tightly controlled metal chemistry and exacting mold tolerances to deliver a consistent product for even heating and superior cooking performance.

This 30cm skillet is traditionally styled with a sturdy integral oven proof handle and pourer channel each side of the rim.

Total Width: 32cm

Total Length (to end of handle): 46cm

Using your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase (for more information on seasoning, click here).
  • Cook over any heat source (including induction).
  • Oven safe.
  • Durable cast iron can handle any type of utensil - even metal.

To care for your Seasoned Cast Iron:

  • Hand wash and dry immediately—even before first use.
  • Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
  • How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”. Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.
  • It's okay to use a little soap when needed, just make sure you dry thoroughly and apply a little oil afterwards.
